Test room for Very High Voltage in transformers

Testing room of Trafo CZ, a.s. E-24 is a member of the Association of High Voltage Test Laboratories, which controls the test laboratory's ability to conduct testing and issues certificates for conducting tests.
The test room is part of the quality management system at Trafo CZ, a.s. according to ČSN EN ISO 9001.

The transformer testing facility ensures:

  • piece tests of distribution transformers according to valid standards and methodologies of AZVN
  • tests of protective and work aids for electrical engineering up to a voltage of 245 kV, including aids for work under voltage
  • tests of surge arresters and voltage tests of transformer stations up to a nominal voltage of 35 kV
  • testing of HV switchgear up to 35 kV

Transformer test room equipment

The instrumentation of the testing room is at a standard European level. The test room is equipped for measuring losses in transformers with the TMS 580 system up to a voltage of 3 x 2.5 kV, at a current of up to 200 A, and other special devices for measuring the transmission and winding resistances of the transformer, supplied by Haefelly Test AG and Tettex Instruments.
For voltage tests, the test room is equipped with a voltage source up to 200 kV, with a power of 100 kVA, and for other measurements with its own alternator with a power of 160 - 300 kVA, at a frequency of 50 - 100 Hz.
