CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000325 – Research and Development of the Active Part of the Distribution Transformer

The project is focused on R&D activities leading to the production of the own design of the active part of the transformer, which will be variable even for different voltage levels, especially in the LV part, which can be advantageously applied to different systems, e.g. recharging EVs or renewable energy parks. From the point of view of EV manufacturers, different voltage levels are used for energy efficient and fast charging. The market is very dynamic in this area and offers significant application possibilities, to which the manufacturer responds with a key element of the electrification infrastructure.

The project is being solved in cooperation with the University of Mining and Technology - Technical University of Ostrava, the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and the company REVOS, s.r.o. The project is solved in the period 1/2023 to 4/2026

CZ.01.1.02/0.0/0.0/20_321/0024388 – Development of an Intelligent Distribution Transformer

The goal of the project "Development of an intelligent distribution transformer" is to design and manufacture a distribution transformer in which it will be possible to regulate the output voltage during the operation of the transformer without the need for shutdown and shutdown. This means changing the tap on the switch without disconnecting the load and tripping. The size of the regulated voltage will be directly dependent on the measured parameters in the network and will automatically adapt to them.

The project is supported by a subsidy based on the decision on the provision of a subsidy, file no. MPO 368104/21/61200/501 dated 20/04/2021 and is being resolved in cooperation with the University of Mining and Technology - Ostrava University of Technology. The project is handled in the period 1/2021 to 5/2023.

1/1/2019: Start of research and development activities towards the production of new products with added value (TA CR, MPO).
1/10/2022: Emergence of a new type of product through R&D activities: Prototype distribution transformer with biodegradable liquid.

FW03010050 – InPredict – Smart Condition Management

The main goal of the project is to create a modular online diagnostic platform for smaller machines used in energy or industry, capable of adaptation to specific monitored devices. The second goal is the implementation of a program for calculating the remaining life of the monitored device using physical statistical or other aging models. This calculation will take place directly in the system, which will remotely communicate with the user and send a specific statement about the state of the device. In the future, this solution will enable the transition from time-based management to condition-based management and the introduction of smart grids and Industry 4.0.

The project is being solved in cooperation with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen - Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the company EGU TECH, a. with. The project is being solved in the period 1/2021 to 12/2024.

TK02020017 – Development of Distribution Transformer with Environmentally Friendly Electrical Insulating liquid

The goal of the project is the development and implementation of a new design of distribution transformers. The intention of the project is to modify the key electrical insulation system for the transformer, which currently consists of an electrical insulating liquid of petroleum origin, which will be replaced by an electrical insulating liquid based on a natural ester from domestic sources. In the course of the project, the design of the cooling, electrical insulation and hermetic system of the transformer, structural modifications of the winding, modification of the biodegradable liquid, production of the prototype and its testing will be carried out. In the fourth year of the project solution, the transformer will be ready for serial production.

The project is being solved in cooperation with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen - Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the company EGU TECH, a. with. The project is handled in the period 7/2019 to 5/2023.

TS01020092 – HiBioT - High Temperature Electrical Insulation System with BIO Liquid

The goal of the project is to develop a high-voltage electrical insulation system for distribution transformers based on biodegradable ester liquid and synthetic paper. In transformers, the liquid component is sometimes replaced by a biodegradable one, however, the main advantage of the ester liquid - higher heat resistance - is not used due to the temperature instability of cellulose paper. This project aims to develop a system that would replace the cellulose paper that has been used for more than a century with paper with higher temperature stability as the basis of future transformers with significantly higher fire safety and higher overall energy density. Another goal is the creation of an electrical insulation system with high resistance to the action of inverters of solar power plants.

The project is being solved in cooperation with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and the company REVOS. The project is solved in the period 5/2024 to 4/2027.
